Rounding up - football talks

January 11th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Living, Sports

I’m back –again :P . Yeah, I haven’t been posting any regular entries on this blog. I was kind of busy looking for the ‘real’ job and hopefully I could find one soon. By the way, did you watch the NCAA BCS bowl? OMG! Tebow was kicking some bu++ on that game :D .

Bradford who’s very calm, collected and almost perfect in throwing the ball was not that effective against Tebow defensive team. Whew! It was an awesome game.

Hey I don’t need to tell you that my USC destroyed Penn State during the Rose Bowl right? :D . They played last January 1st and of course my USC bagged the trophy.

This weekend, Carlo and I are watching AFC and NFC’s semi-finals. The Ravens have already won yesterday as well as the Cardinals and today, the first semi-final game is the Eagles vs the Giants then followed by Chargers vs Steelers.

I’m on Eagles and Chargers :D but we’ll see who’ll win the game ;)

My Sunday Night Rants

November 2nd, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

I am so excited on my new template..yay :-)

After a long nap today (probably 4 hours), I went browsing for a new template for this blog. I feel like dressing up this blog with a new template again.

So I found a really nice one, a magazine style and it’s really cool. I am going to activate my new template anytime next week. I still have to customize it.

How was your blogging day going on? Mine is ok, I went EC drop on my other blog and I found some nice blogs and I bookmarked them :) . I feel so good tonight, that long nap was really an energy booster. I am watching Patriots vs Colts right now and so far my team (Patriots) is doing good.

By the way, did you watch the college games yesterday? Oh boy, I watched most of the games and the best game I’ve watched was the Texas vs Texas Tech. Texas Tech upsets the number 1 team - Texas at the last 8 seconds byt scoring a marvelous touchdown.

WOW, that game was really awesome. I honestly thought that Texas Tech would lose the game after leading for the rest of the game time because they only have less than 2 minutes left and they were down by 1 point. That was also the only time that Texas was able to out outscore them yet  I call it the best one because there was almost no time for Texas Tech to get back.

But texas Tech wowed the crowd by getting a touchdown in a very critical time. To think that they are playing with the number 1 team on that time? Yet of course, they also have the heart of the champions, they were ranked number 7 so they have the spirit to try and win the game.

I’m really lovin’ our weekend :-) . Football is awesome ;-)

Texas Tech upsets the No 1 team

November 1st, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

OMG!!

I can’t believe what I saw in the recently finished UCAAF game, Texas (#1) vs Texas Tech (#7) teams in college football. Texas Tech is beating the crap out of Texas. Texas was almost scoreless in the first half.

Texas can’t penetrate the defense of Texas Tech and leads to their meltdown. I thought that Texas will win the game, they were able to get back and lead 1 point in the last 1 minute and 48 seconds I believe.

When the ball was kicked, they made a 35 yard return, with the rest of the seconds left, they were able to cross the 50 yard line going to their goal and scored a whooping touchdown in the last 8 seconds.

Can you believe that?! Whew. What a good football game. Number 7 upsetting the number 1 team in the league. So tomorrow afternoon, we’re going to welcome another number 1 team huh?

How I love watching football :D

YESSSSSSSSSS, geez, I’m so happy tonight. My Patriots won the MNF with flying colors :D

Hayyzz, gosh! They beat Denver Broncos with a 34 point lead. That was an amazing game. Remember, they got some beat up last week from San Diego Chargers :( . I wasn’t smiling or laughing at all on that game..:P

I can’t help it, I am a BIG FAN of the Patriots.

We’re watching football right now and oh boy, football is SOOO unpredictable. Saints was losing the game because of too much errors yet they were able to come back before 3rd quarter ends.

It was a touch down made by Reggie Bush from the return kick of the Vikings and jsut a few seconds ago, he almost did it again :-) .

He can literally change the game huh? :-) And hey, he’s a proud product of USC ;-)

Are you a sports addict like me?

September 29th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

Are you a sports addict? If so, what kind of sports? Us in the house are football addict. There was no weekend or Monday Night Football or Sunday Night Live that we missed watching this sports game. Both husband and I have different favorite teams, he likes Oakland Raiders while I’m on New England Patriots on NFL (National Football League).

We like the same team in NCAAF which is the USC team. He made me fall in love with football. He was coaching me the first few games of watching it then later on I was able to learn how it works and voila, I’m into it now since that time.

But anyway, there are other sports aside from football that we like to watch too. We love to watch basketball, indoor volleyball, beach volleyball, swimming, golf and etc. While browsing the web today, I found a website that features sports videos of the most memorable moments in most of the sports events.

Were you watching football games this weekend? We did but we weren’t able to watch most of the games because were’ a little busy.

Do you remember the controversial call of Hochuli last weekend I believe? Hmm, well, he made another questionable call today during the Carolina - Atlanta game.

I haven’t seen this game but according to this article, he made a bad call again.

Take a look at this clipping:

flagging Julius Peppers for a roughing-the-passer penalty that wiped out Carolina’s interception return for a touchdown in the first quarter against Atlanta.

After Matt Ryan’s pass was intercepted by Richard Marshall, Hochuli threw a flag and announced Peppers made a helmet-to-helmet hit on Ryan. It erased the touchdown and gave the Falcons a first down on a drive that ended with a punt.

Replays showed Peppers made contact as Ryan released the ball, and appeared to hit him first with his shoulder.

Yay, what’s going on with the refs lately? Hmmm..

HE said he was sorry

September 17th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

Here’s a clipping of the sports article I told you about the incident that happened in NFL last weekend.

No one was more upset about the call than me, I promise you. I was driving to a friend’s house after the game, and had to stop at a local convenience store so I could throw a child-like fit and kick inanimate objects. I said things about Ed Hochuli in the hours after the loss that could’ve gotten me arrested. Eventually, my grief took the form of a letter from Ed’s dog.

But knowing now that Hochuli feels so bad about it, it sort of takes some of the venom out of me. It’s hard to hate a guy who knows he screwed up and feels bad about it.

It’s just so hard to understand why he blew that whistle. A ball went flying backwards out of the quarterback’s hand. In what way would that lead anyone to believe that a play should be blown dead? Why would it even occur to him to blow the whistle?
