Rudy Fernandez long and final battle is over

I’ve been following closely with the health issues of the actor Rudy Fernandez and it saddened me to know that he finally succumbs to cancer. Nakakaiyak yung kwento :-(

Here’s an excerpt from PEP:

DABOY’S FINAL MINUTES. According to the people who were with Rudy in his final minutes, Bong related that Rudy’s blood pressure dropped to 60/40 in the final 30 minutes of his life. When this happened, everyone in the Fernandez household feared the worst.

“Nag-iyakan na sila,” said Bong. “Hysterical na si LT, umiiyak siya na ‘Papa…papa…!’ ganoon. ‘Tapos dumilat mata ni Daboy, ‘tapos sabi niya, ‘Mama…’ ‘Tapos, yun yung huli niyang salita. Maganda na marinig din sa kanila [Lorna and the rest of the family], but makikita mo talaga yung pagmamahalan ng mag-asawa. Yung care sa bawat isa na ayaw iiwan ng…parang pelikula, e. And yung pagmamahal niya sa anak niya, makikita mo, e, kasi yung mga anak niya lagi nandoon every time na may dadalaw sa kanya.”

To the Fernandez family..our heartfelt condolences.

Don’t they violate any privacy issues?

This news surprised and alarmed me, if I am one of the students..I don’t want any strangers to pry on my activities..especially my conversations on my cellphone. Hmmm..that’s too personal and it is my right keep my conversation private.

Tsk tsk tsk..what do you think?

Researchers secretly tracked the locations of 100,000 people outside the United States through their cell phone use and concluded that most people rarely stray more than a few miles from home. The first-of-its-kind study by Northeastern University raises privacy and ethical questions for its monitoring methods, which would be illegal in the United States.

It also yielded somewhat surprising results that reveal how little people move around in their daily lives. Nearly three-quarters of those studied mainly stayed within a 20-mile-wide circle for half a year.

The scientists would not say where the study was done, only describing the location as an industrialized nation. Researchers used cell phone towers to track individuals’ locations whenever they made or received phone calls and text messages over six months. In a second set of records, researchers took another 206 cell phones that had tracking devices in them and got records for their locations every two hours over a week’s time period.

Comcast.net site was hacked last night

Holy cow!! Hackers attacked again. Geez, imagine they were able to penetrate the Comcast Corp.’s Web portal and it is for HOURS..whew.

Now I’m really wondering about my experience with friendster this morning, I guess they were hacked too..

Comcast.net site is hacked briefly

Hackers took over Comcast Corp.’s Web portal for several hours overnight, denying 14.1 million subscribers access to the cable company’s site for e-mail, news and technical support.

The front page of Comcast.net went down shortly before 11 p.m. EDT Wednesday and was replaced with a note saying the hackers had “RoXed” Comcast, according to postings at BroadbandReports.com.

Comcast spokeswoman Jennifer Khoury said Thursday that the hijacking had been reversed in the morning, but that it was possible some users were still unable to access Comcast.net and Web-based e-mail.

There was no indication that e-mail or other private information was compromised by the attack, Comcast said. It didn’t stop customers from getting their e-mail through programs like Outlook.

The hackers appeared to have seized control of the Comcast.net domain name at registrar Network Solutions Inc. and redirected it to other servers, Khoury said.

Android software for mobile phones..have you heard about it?

This is my first time to hear about this but tell you what, I’m so excited on the release of this new software. That’s what you call “the technology updates/changes in split seconds huh?

Google shows off ‘Android’ software for mobile phones

Google Inc. showed off its nearly completed mobile software system to about 3,000 computer programmers Wednesday, hoping to boost its services and advertising for people on the go.

Although brief, the demonstration at the Internet search leader’s annual developer conference in San Francisco represented the most extensive public look so far at “Android” — an open-source platform being designed for “smart” phones and other mobile devices that surf the Web. Android was first announced nearly seven months ago.

The bells and whistles unveiled Wednesday included: a way to unlock phones by drawing a specific shape on the touchscreen instead of entering a password; bookmarks for favorite Web sites on the device’s home page; a “compass” tool that automatically roams with the phone while a user looks at photographic images of a city map; a magnifying tool to zoom in on Web content; and a mobile version of the video game “Pac Man.”

I miss you too tya..

This was taken almost 2 years ago when I was still in Davao. I was with (of course) my girl friend Evz and I guess we were in Gaisano Mall Davao during this time.

We’re a camera addict way back then. This is a phone cam picture unya basta makakita og hayag hala pose :-D . She sent this picture (with caption) to me 2 days ago and it touched me deeply.

She is one of the closest friends I had in Davao. I only have few girl friends, Sheng, Glenn and her. We love to goof around and do funny things to make the most out of our busy office days.

That was the hippiest and happiest friendship days of my life and wherever I go, I always have it inside me.

Loves jud tamo kaau
