I’m working (full time)…finally!

January 20th, 2009 | 1 Comment | Posted in Living

Hello everyone :)

How are you doin’ lately? I hope you’re all doing good. If you’ll ask about me, I’m pretty good.Pardon me for being out in the blogosphere lately, this time my excuse reason is valid. I finally got me a regular work ;-) , after all the waiting and resting and surfing and doing nothing :D whew..so happy to have something to do.

So who hired me?

It’s a call center company and they hired me as one of their sales service assistant, a pretty much customer service rep only that I am assigned solely on sales. They hired me last week and today is my first day of training. I thought it would be ’scary’, it’s a challenge when you get out from your comfort zone. So the thinking that you might get out of place will always be there.

But actually, it wasn’t scary and there was no OP situation..none at all. In fact, most of the trainor’s, employee’s and my batchmates were all professional and approachable.

So my training day was very productive, I am a little ahead of the game hence I’ve had like 7 years of experience in customer service. It’s pretty much the same work as I have before, there are minor thing that differs and those were; it’s a big company, tstrict rules, policies & guidelines are enforced and we used a certain software to complete a certain task. But as for taking/processing the orders and giving customer satisfactory service, it’s still the same.

I meet a new found friend today too, she’s my batchmate and her name is Sandra. Of course I never went there to make friends, I went there to work yet earning a new friend is like a bonus :)

So that’s why I’m almost on Hiatus..but I promise I’ll keep in touch and I will keep you updated.

Bill Gates Retires, Symbian Goes Open Source

June 28th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

This news article surprised me while I was reading tech news today. So Bill Gates already retired huh? Hmmm, who replaced him and what will happen to Microsoft? It’s kind of odd though, people like him loves challenges..but anyway, maybe he gets too tired of counting his millions already and decided to enjoy it :D without thinking of any 9 to 5 jobs. Cool huh?

Microsoft, usually a source of software patch updates and claims about Vista adoption rates, produced a bit of sentimental news this week as Bill Gates stepped away from his daily corporate duties on Friday. Gates, who founded Microsoft at age 19, will now devote his time to philanthropic work.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Senate discussed the issue of laptop searches and seizures at the nation’s borders and also decided to delay a vote on a controversial spy bill. While on the topic of controversial plans, an ISP (Internet service provider) suspended a program that would have served up ads based on a user’s Internet history after the move sparked privacy concerns.

Yahoo, a perennial name in this space, defended its Google ad deal on Wednesday and the next day launched yet another reorganization. Finally, Oracle wants at least US$1 billion from SAP due to infractions supposedly committed by a subsidiary. source

ReviewMe: Another advertiser’s network that let’s you earn online

June 18th, 2008 | 1 Comment | Posted in Uncategorized

Aside form being a member of PPP, I am also a member of other advertiser’s network website like Smorty, ReviewMe, BuyBlogReviews and etc.

ReviewMe is a good advertiser’s network too. I probably earned more than $1k from this advertising company. Though the minimum words required for every assignment they’ll request from you is 200 words, it’s all worth it because this 200 words pays from as little as $5 to as big as $100+ or maybe $200 or more.

I find them valuable and reliable because I haven’t encountered any problem from them. They also approves the assignment in a short period of time. Like if I post it today, I’ll only wait for few hours to the next day and I will get the notice of approval.

Hey, they did not pay me to write this article, I just did this because I am trust them and I am recommending them to you. If you want to be one of their bloggers and earn more, try browsing www.reviewme.com.

Blogger to wordpress import/export of files

June 16th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

This is a snap sample of the FTP software that I am using. The window shows the internal files of my Bes’s new domain. (Click on the image to enlarge)

I am currently exporting my bes blog files to a new blog software, the wordpress from her old blogger files. I love using FTP when I do blog tweaks. I’ve learned how to use FTP (File Transfer Protocol) from my previous work. Anyway, FTP software is so comfy to use and its pretty fast (but if course it also depends on your connection).

The first thing to take note when you want to export your files to your own domain is that you need to search for the compatibility of these two softwares. Meaning, they need to communicate and it needs to allow you to transport the file.

Recently, wordpress, blogger, blogware, RSS, Blog Journal and etc allows you to import and export files between each others platform. On the blogger to wordpress export of files, my experience was when I tried exporting my old blogger files to my domain, it was not successful. So I played around with it and luckily I have an old free wordpress blog and I tried using it.

It worked. So the rest was very easy. Importing or exporting of files from the same blog platform is really easy.

The famous 5 minute wordpress blog set up. Actually its not 5 minutes but few seconds. It depends on how fast you type the required fields shown above and how fast is your internet connection. Right after you hit the “Install Wordpress’ button, your blog is already created. (Click on the image to enlarge)

The second thing that you need to take note is the software configuration, like database set up and etc or better yet, get a domain and hosting that offers CPANEL and includes Fantastico. Fantastico is very easy to use and is (I could say) recommended for new users. With Fantastico, you’ll just hit the button “Create a wordpress blog” and you fill up the required fields like Name, email, password..etc and that’s it, your wordpress blog is created right away.

IF you don’t have the fantastico, everything..even the setting up of database needs to be manually created by you. I also notice that each hosting provider offers different style of control center so it needs readings and research before you start your blog tweaks. This way, you can save a lot of confusion and hopefully it runs smoothly.

I do get frustration sometimes, this cannot be avoided BUT as long as you are willing to do it, you can do it. I’ll post the rest of my blog tweaks on my next entry ;-)

My encounter with PPP customer love yesterday..continued

June 11th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

Read the first article here

continutation..

So I submitted a ticket and I bs them..yep..I was really pi$$3d yesterday. And so here comes their reply asking sorry for what happened and they’ll be very careful next time.

That’s it?? You see the damaged has already been done, the ban that they left on my profile cannot be lifted and bans and benches affects the rating of a blogger. I old them to lift the ban they did but they said they can’t do it.

Only the advertiser can lift the ban.. This raises my brows again…REALLY??!!

***

Last note, don’t forget to screenshot the opps before submitting, in case you’ll encounter this problem..you have proofs to show. This is also the reason why they can’t deny me this time. I know that none is perfect but I don’t think they’ll listen to you without proofs. I’ve already encountered once and they denied it, so from that time.. I AM VERY CAREFUL.

My encounter with PPP customer love yesterday

June 11th, 2008 | 1 Comment | Posted in Uncategorized

I had an issue with PPP again yesterday, they’ve mistakenly denied the entry that I created for a certain assignment. They even told me that it was denied because “my PR is FRAUDULENT”. They also marked me the second BAN in my PPP profile.

That really blows me away so after receiving it, I screenshot the details of the assignment and my blog’s ranking details. As I told you in my previous article on dealing with PPP, I screenshot the details and attached it to my email to them.

It was really off for their customer service/ customer love to say that my PR is fraudulent. Firstly, I AM NOT GOOGLE so therefore I cannot manipulate my ranking or do some miracles on it to get the PR10 even if I don’t qualify. Where did they got the idea of fraudulent ranking if they are also the one who’s giving the RR (real rank)?

PPP’s rules in reserving opps goes like this:

Before you can reserve and post an entry of a certain assignment in PPP, you need to qualify the advertisers requirements. The opportunities are color coded, RED is not available, GREEN is featured and available, WHITE is available and GRAY is available but fully reserved.

The opps that I reserved has a WHITE color and so I reserve it. I read the advertisers requirement and it only needed 1 tack, RR1 and NO PR.

My blog has 4 tacks with an RR8. By reading the qualification, MY BLOGS QUALIFIED..it even surpassed the advertisers’ requirements.

So how come they denied my entry and told me that my PR is FRAUDULENT? Where is the connection? And how on earth did they come up with this fraudulent idea?

to be continued…

There’s some assignment available in PPP today

June 8th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

It took time for PPP to throw a new set of opps. But I’m glad that they did it today. It was also in time because that was the time that I sat down in my PC and check my mails.

I just kept on refreshing and I was able to grab the maximum opps that I am allowed to have for this day. Thanks for this and I got to get back to my kitchen after posting it ;) .

For all of those who are PPP bloggers, log in on your control panel now as there are still opps that are available.

Good luck!!

My first auction is successful

May 14th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

My first auction is successful :) . It’s really uplifting to know that I was able to sell it since it is my first time to sell an item. I am an ebayer for years now (thanks to my mentor who taught me about ebay) but I was always a buyer.

I love buying stuffs from ebay. I bought books, dresses, gadgets and etc from ebay and luckily I’ve always been satisfied with my purchases. I’ve always been thinking of selling before but I was always busy..

It was only recently that I was able to push through with my plans of being a seller. Thanks to hubby for pushing me to do it and for backing me up :) .

I’ll be selling more and I’ll let you know about it ;-)
