Hello

Hello everyone!

How’s everyone doing? I’m approaching my 35th week of pregnancy that’s why I’ve been in and out on blogosphere. But good news though, I’ve already filed my US citizenship, almost done decorating my baby boy’s room and I’ve been getting lots of sleep lately.

I guess my body is preparing for our big day. I had a ‘hiccup’ with my pregnancy but everything’s alright now. I guess my son is so excited to came out yesterday, I had to rush to the hospital because of pre-term labor. I had to stay there for about 4 hours, was injected some meds, was observed and thank God they let me go.

I’m not sure what triggered it but I guess I was overstress. That’s why I’m slowing down. There are things that I can just automate but not this one lol.

Anyhow, I hope you had a great long weekend last week and btw, Belated Happy Veteran’s Day!

My Odesk update

I know I’ve promised to complete my Odesk profile today and will update you but I’ve had a lot of things in my plate that needs to be done first that’s why I wasn’t able to finish my profile.

One good update that I can tell you though, I tried applying for a Data entry job at Odesk yesterday and I recieved a reply this morning. It was not a good news but I was happy that the employer replied/answered right away even if it says “the job is full”.

I’ve been a member of different freelance websites but Odesk is the first one to impress me. Some of those freelance websites were just a waste of time (I guess unless I am a company/group who can deliver the fastest service then these employers will try to give me a chance to work for them especially for a beginner).

I was doing a mommy time today, I’ve been running some errands while I can still walk (I mean carry my weight) straight lol. I’m just glad that a girl friend gave me a ride and went around town with me to buy some baby stuff.

On another account, having a baby is very expensive lol. It is. Trust me. But it’s all worth though :-) . I can’t wait for baby Karl to come.

Thank you Mommy Jackie

We just turned 7 months yesterday :-) , time flies so fast whew! Few more months to go and my baby Carlson is going to be here. So am I ready for the upcoming sleepless nights, double hardwork and more challenges?

YES, I am. You know, I can’t even wait for him to come. If only I can flash forward the time, I’ve already given birth a long time ago lol. But hey, I have no complains here, my journey to motherhood is fun.

I have been asking my mommy friends for tips and anything that they can share about being a new mom. I love hearing thier advices, it makes me stronger. Even when some mommies would tell me to get ready to give birth because it’s very painful, there are also other mommies out there that balances the idea and would tell me that ” of course it’s painful but you can do it”.

Mommy Jackie is one of my heroes :-) , she would always tell me “basta i-utong lang jud inig sulti sa doctor nga utong na, ayaw pagpa-kyut kyut..mugawas ra jud na imong bata lol”. Mao ning arisgada na kaayo ko karon and I have no fear about giving birth :P .

Thanks much Mommy Jack..truly appreciate everything you’ve shared from the bottom of my heart.

I miss my friend

I really do miss a good friend from our former base. She’s a fellow cebuana, we speak the same language and we’re both crazy and funny :) that’s why when I met her, we clicked right away.

Her family and mine hang out in almost every party with other friends. We even go to lakes and go fishing, camping, boating, jet skiing and we had fun. Even though she lived in a different town (an hour away from my house), we still manage to became good friends and now that I live an ocean away from her, I miss her companionship and our good and fun days together.

I remember when we went to Elephant butte in New Mexico, her husband drove thier RV (and hey if you are looking for one, there are a lot of rvs for sale in the internet) with them while carting along thier ‘toys’ ( boat and jet skis). We spent the whole weekend in the lake. We fished, we swim, we bbq, we had a lot of fun.

How I wish I can find a friend like her here in Hawaii. The one where I can open my heart out without any reservations especially that it seemed like we are going to retire in Hawaii :-) .

I hate to admit it but YES I’m LAZY

glad-and-austinI’m so lazy today ( I mean not just today but since I got pregnant lol) , got up at 10 in the morning, eat my breakfast, stare at my computer, browse my facebook page, walk Fox on the backyard and I feel sleepy again.

So this is how the life of a pregnant woman is..will do things she feels like doing even if sometimes it doesn’t make sense and there are a lot of things that needs to be done that will never even be started lol. Until now, my to-do-list is still intact, none is marked as done and I don’t feel like doing any of it :-P .

My husband’s not complaining, he’s just laughing at me cause I always complain yet I don’t do anything about it.

The only thing that Carlo (my husband) reminds me all the time is to walk, he doesn’t care when or what time as long as I get to walk everyday so (he said) I wouldn’t have a hard labor.

I’m approaching my 24th week or 6 month pregnancy this week, time flies by so quick isn’t it? I can still remember how I argued with my husband when he told me “Hey babe, I think you’re pregnant” and I told him “No, I’m just fat”.

I gained around 10 lbs during that time and I was a little big from my normal figure. He insisted that I was pregnant for days until he was able to persuade me to take a pregnancy test (home kit), it tested positive but I still would not believe that I was pregnant so he called in at the clinic and booked me a check up.

To make the long story short, I really was pregnant..and here I am now, raving and ranting about how it all started :) . It always made us (me and hubby) laugh when we reminisce, how I argued with him, how he tried his best to convince me..it was funny and I didn’t even know why I reacted that way.

I guess it might be because my pregnancy is an “unplanned plan” ..I mean we plan to be pregnant this year but wasn’t expecting to be pregnant right away. That’s how life is huh? Full of surprises and loads of roller coaster emotion. We are very happy though, that’s for sure.

**The photo above was taken 2 weeks ago @ Bellows Beach, with me was a friend’s son named Austin and I was 22 weeks pregnant :-) **
