I need a new spam catcher/killer plugin on wordpress

I’ve been having trouble with the excessive spam dropped on this blog lately and I guess it’s time for me to look for another spam catcher.

What are you using in your blog? I’m looking for any suggestion/s right now and thanks in advance. Also, I’d rather use what you’re using than trying a different one without any feedback from current user. That will save me time as it will be tested and proven already. By the way, I am using a wordpress platform and basically I am looking for a plugin.

Right now, I am using Spam Karma II, it works but it’s not up to my expectation (but of course, to each is own, it probably works on yours). There are still a lot of spam comments that slips and I’ve been marking them as spam everyday so my spam karma will recognize it as spam the next time.

Let me know what you’re using..any recommendations will do. Thanks!

Did you pre-order your kindle yet?

I’ve been longing to buy an ebook reader but stopped myself since I’ve been waiting for any of the ebook reader prices to go down. And oh boy, I’m glad that I waited. Last week (if I remembered it right?) Kindle announces that they will be releasing a new version of kindle with a built in wifi and with a cheaper price of $139. That’s amazing isn’t it?

It’s cheaper compared to Sony ereader and Nook, the wifi capability is awesome and I’ve heard that one of the feature is it’s integrated with twitter and facebook? Whoaa, if this is true, what else can you ask for? I am a heavy reader, I love to read, love to discover new things and it’s my favorite past time (aside of course from shopping ~ lol) and i love facebook too lol (who doesn’t?).

I’ve already pre-ordered my kindle from Amazon :), BTW, if you’re new on Amazon and wants to take advantage of their credit card promotion; Amazon is giving a $40 free credit (free money) by just signing up (you have to be approved too inorder to get this). It’s tested and proven, I signed up last month and had been enjoying the benefits since then (there’s a point system too where you will earn points for every purchase).

That’s awesome isn’t it? Not to mention that you are building up a beautiful credit score

I guess it’s time for an upgrade

I need to buy a new laptop and I love to upgrade into touchscreen.

My laptop is already 2 years old and I guess an upgrade will do. I’ll do some laptops search later to look for some selection. There should be a lot of websites that will be selling it. Also, if not, I can always search on ebay and see what’s the latest make that is available.

I’ve heard that you are looking for Amazon books? If you do, then a simple click and browse in the internet will give you what you need. You can use any of the search engines like google, bing, msn or yahoo to get the resulats that you want.

Did you know that there is also a what you called an “ebook” that is available in the internet nowadays? You may want to check that out too as it is very comfortable getting an ebook and reading it either from your cellphone or any ebook reader.

Most of the malls are using barcode scanner on their POS (Point of Sale) system for the past years. It was a success when it was first launched and look at it now, it’s fully integrated with the entire system. Even on the inventory system (on most of the big companies); barcode scanner is also fully integrated.

That’s the beauty of having a great working technology!

The tech savvy me

I love new gadgets! Who doesn’t? Right now, the ones that I need to buy is a new touch screen digital camera/digital cameras or maybe an SLR, a new photo handy printer, an iphone and a touchscreen laptop =) LOL. I know it’s a long list but who knows I might get ‘em this December ;).

I’m just crazy about gadgets, love changing it most of the time…

My first glimpse of Hawaii

We’re finally in Hawaii, we arrived here few days ago and I’m merely tired of going out tonight or do something out that’s why I’m here in front of my laptop typing whatever comes into my mind and boring you lol.

Hawaii is a beautiful place, it reminds me of my “Davao”; the weather, lush grenery, exotic flowers, beautiful beach, warm people, Asian food and my kababayan ~maraming pinoy dito sa Hawaii. Wherever I go, I would always hear my own tongue spoken by some locals..it feels like home .

Anyway, you know beautiful has its price right? Hawaii is expensive..pretty darn expensive.

And that is especially if you go to the tourist area (is there any place in Hawaii where prices are not catered for tourist? if you know give me a holla) like Waikiki and which we are staying right now.

Hotel accommodation’s ranging from as low as $276 a night to (maybe) as high as thousands of dollars, that is of course because you have the beachfront view and you can technically walk a few feet and you’re on the shoreline.
