As I’ve roamed around the blogosphere this morning, I noticed that most bloggers prefer getting their own domain than using the free one. This is actually a good move, free one’s might not cost you anything but there are also a lot of cons when you used the free ones.

One con is that, what if the provider will close down their website; how are you going to back up or transfer your files? Or, what if that free provider is planning to charge it’s users in the near future? I know of a certain provider that offers free services at first but later on, it charges it’s users for the blog usage.

Also, when you’re using the free blogs or website’s; you have no control over the ads or advertisement that will display in your blog or website. Anyway, of course the best reason why you took the free one is because it’s FREE. No cost, free usage and functions the same as getting your own domain. But giving the cons above, getting your own domain and web hosting is the best choice (at least for me). Any domain provider or web hosting choice of provider is fine. Just try to make sure that you read the necessary info before you buy one.
