What do you use for sending text back home (Philippines)?

I know if I’ll mention the word “TEXT”, you know what I mean right? What do you usually use to text your friends or loved ones abroad?

I use Chikka and it’s FREE on the outgoing text but the incoming has a fee. It’s very cheap compared to sending text from cellphone to cellphone (international texting). Like say for example, a text from the Phils cellphone (Smart, Globe, Sun, T-mobile and etc) going to chikka account is only Php 2.50 per 165 words.

The way chikka works is that, you download the program and install it in your computer. Sign up for an account and then you can start using it. I always use Chikka when I send text back home (Philippines).

Aside from sending text, you can also use Chikka to send money or load credits to any of the Philippines Cellphone. I used to do that but when they started raising the cost, I did not use them anymore.

I only use Chikka solely for sending and receiving text.
