We are watching the movie “Vantage Point” right now and it’s a pretty good movie. It’s a pretty intense movie, its as if you’ll lose your breath :D . You have to guess what’s next too because, it’s a playback type of movie.

Here’s the full synopsis of the movie:

President Ashton (William Hurt) is attending a global war on terror summit in Spain. Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid) and Kent Taylor (Matthew Fox) are two of the Secret Service agents assigned to protect him. This is the first action that Agent Barnes has been in since he took a bullet for President Ashton six-month earlier.

We really don’t know if Agent Barnes is up to the challenge of protecting the President. Shortly after President Ashton is escorted to the stage in the plaza by the Secret Service, he is immediately shot twice by a rifle from a window and falls to the floor.

The crowd is in shock and chaos breaks out all over, especially, when bombs begin to explode. Howard Lewis (Forest Whitaker) is an American video-taping the event to show to his children that he was actually there at this historic event. He believes that he has the picture of the man who shot the President. Agent Barnes sees the tape and has a clue to that person. Several different people witness the event, and only through their eyes do we see the truth behind the assassination attempt.

I’ll let you know how was it after watching the movie, we just started it :D

Canon to Build New Digital Camera Factory in Japan

Japan’s Canon plans to build a new digital camera manufacturing factory in Japan to keep up with demand from an expanding global market, it said Monday.

The new plant will be built in Nagasaki in western Japan and will be able to produce around 4 million cameras per year. Construction is scheduled to start in January next year and be complete by November with operations beginning in December 2009. It will manufacture both digital SLR (single lens reflex) and compact cameras.

This is cool, this means more job in Japan and more high tech gadget in the next few years. It made me realize that maybe the economy is “not” really declining after all :) . What do you think?

When a woman lies

One day, when a seamstress was sewing while sitting close to a river, her thimble fell into the river. When she cried out, the Lord appeared and asked, ‘My dear child, why are you crying?’ The seamstress replied that her thimble had fallen into the water and that she needed it to help her husband in making a living for their family.

The Lord dipped His hand into the water and pulled up a golden thimble set with sapphires.

‘Is this your thimble?’ the Lord asked .
The seamstress replied, ‘No.’

The Lord again dipped into the river. He held out a golden thimble studded with rubies.

‘Is this your thimble?’ t he Lord asked. Again, the seamstress replied, ‘No.’

The Lord reached down again and came up with a leather thimble.

‘Is this your thimble ?’ the Lord asked. The seamstress replied, ‘Yes.’ The Lord was pleased w ith the woman’s honesty and gave her all three thimbles to keep, and the seamstress went home happy.

Some years later, the seamstress was walking with her husband along the riverbank, and her husband fell into the river and disappeared under the water. When she cried out, the Lord again appeared and asked her, ‘Why are you crying?’

‘Oh Lord, my husband has fallen into the river!’

The Lord went down into the water and came up with George Clooney.

‘Is this your husband?’ the Lord asked.


 ‘Yes,’ cried the seamstress.

The Lord was furious. ‘You lied! That is an untruth!’

The seamstress replied, ‘Oh, forgive me, my Lord. It is a misunderstanding. You see, if I had said ‘no’ to George Clooney, you would have come up with Brad Pitt.

Then if I said ‘no’ to him, you would have come up with my husband. Had I then said ‘yes,’ you would have given me all three. Lord, I’m not in the best of health and would not be able to take care of all three husbands, so THAT’S why I said ‘yes’ to George Clooney.

And so the Lord let her keep him.

Moral of this story:

Whenever a woman lies, it’s for a good and honorable reason, and in the best interest of others. That’s our story, and we’re sticking to it.

2 teens attacked in town mocked in YouTube videos…again

This has been going on for months ( I guess), on different cities but the same scenario..teenagers beating other teenagers. Did they want this to get attention from others? I mean a show off..

This needs to stop though..its very violent. Imagine at a very young age they can think of this as an entertainment…whew.

Two teenagers who drove to Oniontown after a series of YouTube videos portrayed the hamlet as a run-down, backwoods dump were pelted with rocks by an angry group of young residents, authorities said.

The two 17-year-olds from Mahopac, about 30 miles south of Oniontown, suffered head and face injuries.

Troopers arrested a 17-year-old from Oniontown on Thursday and charged him with criminal mischief. Additional arrests were expected, police said.

State police investigator Eric Schaefer said it wasn’t the first time out-of-towners were attacked by local residents.
