The importance of Cisco certification

I was talking about the importance of certification being a career oriented person in my previous post and as I was saying, certification, be it Cisco certification, or any other certification; it plays an important role in a career person’s life.

One needs not to be stagnant especially that our technology is evolving in only split seconds. If you don’t improve, chances are; you’ll be left and get outdated. This is one thing I’ve noticed with my classmates during college. Most of them are not working in the IT industry; they shifted to other field like accounting works, human resource works and etc. I guess I am just lucky to have a good training ground and experience in IT to be able to stick in our field.

But really, if you stick around and continue improving yourself, you’re in for a good future. Improving means getting a certification like the Cisco certification. Right now, there are a lot of Cisco training website’s that allowed us to get trained and be ready before taking the certification. There are endless opportunities in the IT field and this is one of the many benefits that are waiting for us. My professor during my Masters told me that the older an IT person gets, the better he gets on his field; there is always a career growth for an IT person. This is right, look at the programmers right now.

We were using FoxPro way back then, right now; they are doing a simulation and uses a 3gl languages (or 4gl) for their coding works. One of the great examples of their works is the Playstation games or Xbox 360 games. That’s a marvelous work.
