Certification – one of the tools needed to improve ones career

One of the tools to arm a certain career-oriented person aside from education and dedication to work is certification. One certification that an IT person can take is the Cisco certification. I am a plain housewife recently and as I was browsing from one job hiring to another, it’s most often that one of the requirements that they are requiring is for the applicant to have a certification. This is especially if you are in an IT field. If you have a certification, you have the advantage. Certifications are measuring tool of a person’s knowledge on its field.

There are a lot of websites that offers training for these certifications. I’ll let you in for some personal experience of mine with regards to certification. I am currently reviewing and studying because I am planning to take one of the certifications for IT here in the States.

I love to improve and go further when it comes to career. It’s uplifting to know that there are no excuses that a person will be stagnant here in the States. I am currently using some training materials online and I bought me a book so I have the material to read.

Decision making

Are you picky when it comes to the fixtures in your house? I am :-) . My husband doesn’t buy any improvement until we’ve talked about it. No matter how simple or how tiny the fixture would be, we always decide together. Like our faucets, I am planning to change it :-) but of course we need to talk about it first before buying.

Sony Previews ‘Life With PlayStation’

Sony is preparing a non-game service for its PlayStation 3 console that at first glance is similar to one available on Nintendo’s Wii.

Called “Life with PlayStation,” the service will launch with news and weather information channels but is set to be considerably expanded in the future, said Kaz Hirai, president of Sony Computer Entertainment, at a Tokyo news conference on Thursday.

“By utilizing the full processing power of the PlayStation 3, ‘Life with PlayStation’ will bring unique content centering on two axis, place and time,” he said.

The basic interface was a globe of the Earth that could be spun to reveal the different regions of the world. Major cities were marked on the globe along with the current weather conditions and news headlines pertaining to the city were listed in the corner of the screen. As you browse, background music from the hard-disk in the PlayStation 3 can be played either as a user-defined playlist or one chosen by the console. source
