My first auction is successful

My first auction is successful :) . It’s really uplifting to know that I was able to sell it since it is my first time to sell an item. I am an ebayer for years now (thanks to my mentor who taught me about ebay) but I was always a buyer.

I love buying stuffs from ebay. I bought books, dresses, gadgets and etc from ebay and luckily I’ve always been satisfied with my purchases. I’ve always been thinking of selling before but I was always busy..

It was only recently that I was able to push through with my plans of being a seller. Thanks to hubby for pushing me to do it and for backing me up :) .

I’ll be selling more and I’ll let you know about it ;-)

I’m worn out..

I did a minor re-painting in our house today and I’m worn out right now :) . It’s very fulfilling though, it;s one of the projects that I’ve always been wanting to do.

I am relaxing right now, watching “Sleepy Hollow” while typing this entry. Carlo is in the office room studying. Opps, he just called me saying that “American Idol” is on. Speaking of American Idol, I fell in love with David Cook’s voice last night. OMG!!??!! That was really a nice performance of him.

Not sure who’s going home tonight though, they’re all good.

Anyway, let me go back on my “Sleepy Hollow” movie…Johnny Deep look so young on this movie :)

It’s a lame reasoning

Finally, PPP customer service replied to my inquiry today. I posted an entry regarding on a certain problem that I encountered from PPP yesterday (click here to read my previous article).

If only they’ve given me an excuse/reason that I can take, then it wouldn’t make me feel bitter at all. I saw it in my own naked eyes and I have friends that could attest on it too. There system has an error yesterday; the payout of a certain assignment was changed from $113.50 to $14.00.

The customer service replied to me today and said that there was no Opps with a payout that I was talking about. Of course it’ll change, it already changed after submitting the article yesterday. I know that none/no one is perfect, be it a machine or a human being..but I know and saw what happened. I only want to hear the truth on your side too and not any BS and no truth reply.

Oh well, it’s my first time to encounter this kind of problem but believe me..I’ve learned my lesson and hopefully there will be no next time for this. As for me, I’ll capture a screen shot before hitting the submit button from now on :D

Thanks for the reply anyway. And hey, friends…let this be a learning lesson for you. Ask Lira or Jackie, they know what happened :)

My very first auction in ebay

I am currently having my very first auction on ebay :) .

I’m selling our newly bought Unlocked Blackberry Pearl 8100. Bought it around $300 (plus shipping and handling) but my husband (the gift recipient) doesn’t like it and its costly, we’re in a roaming zone of t-mobile and the minutes is expensive.

I was kind of excited when we bought it but after spending almost $200 in cell phone credit for only a month..we both decided to sell it.

So that was the reason why it’s on auction right now. It’s in good shape and we barely use it, I think we only use it when we went to Virginia.

I posted it on ebay last week, I opted the auction to run for 7 days and today is the last day for the auction. There are bidders and I’m happy about it.

I’ll be selling more products soon :)

Game Web site gets users to help make computers smarter

Digging up some tech news today (yahoo news):

Carnegie Mellon University researchers hope Web surfers will spend their free time playing Internet-based games to help other people’s and businesses’ computers get smarter.

On Wednesday, the researchers launched http://www.gwap.com with five games designed to help computers with tasks they can’t automatically do.

“There are a lot of things that computers cannot do, but we’d somehow like to get them done,” said Luis von Ahn, an assistant professor of computer science. “So what we’re doing is getting humans to do it for us.”

The tasks include improving computer searches for images or audio clips. For example, if you search on the Web for “sad songs,” a search engine will generally show you links to audio files that have the word sad in the filename. But by getting people to describe audio clips as sad in online games like “Tag a Tune,” researchers can improve searches for audio files.
