The popular online hangout MySpace has won a $230 million judgment over junk messages sent to its members in what is believed to be the largest anti-spam award ever.
A federal judge in Los Angeles ruled against a notorious “Spam King,” Sanford Wallace, and his partner, Walter Rines, after the two failed to show up at a court hearing, MySpace told The Associated Press on Tuesday.
Wallace earned the monikers “Spam King” and “Spamford” as head of a company that sent as many as 30 million junk e-mails a day in the 1990s. He left that company, Cyber Promotions, following lawsuits from leading Internet service providers such as Time Warner Inc.’s AOL, only to re-emerge in a spyware case that led to a $4 million federal judgment against him in 2006.
“MySpace has zero tolerance for those who attempt to act illegally on our site,” said MySpace’s chief security officer, Hemanshu Nigam. “We remain committed to punishing those who violate the law and try to harm our members.” source

Is there something wrong with PPP system today? My latest submitted post is not showing up…hmmm
Update (as of 3: 30pm MT):
As of this time ( 3 30pm MT) PPP hasn’t gotten back on me yet but my ticket was labeled “work in progress”. I’m kind of curious about their reason. You see what happened was, there was an assignment worth $113.50 when i grabbed/reserved it. After posting and the automatic approval, the amount was changed into $14.00.
I’m not sure what happened on their system but I know and I saw a huge difference. This is the first time that I have a problem with them. I hope that they can resolve this, or should I say the reason that they’ll give me is satisfactory..because I’m not joking around.
I’m pretty serious with every job that I do/deal with them.

I first heard this bad news from Jackie then later on while watching my morning news on TV, I saw some video footage. The footage that I saw was they were pulling out a kid who was trapped in a school building that collapsed because of the earthquake.
The report continued and stated that there are more kids trapped
.Whew..the effect was horrible but I hope they can get back on their feet sooner.
Here’s the clipping of the news published in yahoo:
Report: Death toll in China quake exceeds 12,000
The toll of the dead and missing soared as rescue workers dug through flattened schools and homes on Tuesday in a desperate attempt to find survivors of China’s worst earthquake in three decades.
The official Xinhua News Agency said the death toll exceeded 12,000 in Sichuan province alone, and 18,645 were still buried in debris in the city of Mianyang, near the epicenter of Monday’s massive, 7.9-magnitude quake.
The Sichuan Daily newspaper reported on its Web site that more than 26,000 people were injured in Mianyang. The numbers of casualties was expected to rise due to the remoteness of the areas affected by the quake and difficulty in finding buried victims.
