I used both this two online classified ads abd one thing that differentiate them is that you can post an ads on craigslist with a ZERO fee while in ebay, you always needs to pay for your ads. Look at em now..they’re fighting….
The legal wrangle between Craigslist and eBay Inc. is about the competition in the online classifieds market, eBay’s complaint in the case reveals.
Craigslist considers eBay’s new site Kijiji a competitive activity that nullifies some shareholder rights eBay won when it bought a 28 percent stake in Craigslist in 2004, according to the complaint, which eBay made public on Wednesday.
But eBay contends Craigslist went too far in interpreting what rights eBay should lose. And it’s suing Craigslist for allegedly diluting its stake unfairly. “The original agreement between the two parties always envisioned that there could be competitive activity,” said eBay spokeswoman Kim Rubey.
Craigslist said Wednesday in a blog posting on its site that eBay is intent on dominating the classifieds business. EBay purchased its stake in privately held Craigslist from an unnamed former executive who solicited buyers.
EBay’s lust for acquiring the rest of Craigslist is blatant throughout the complaint. EBay says industry analysts believe the online classifieds site is worth several billion dollars, and in July, former eBay CEO Meg Whitman told Craigslist she’d “welcome the opportunity to acquire the remainder of (it).”

On Tuesday, 11 chipmakers and consumer device makers, led by No. 1 chip seller Intel (NasdaqGS:INTC – News), launched the HomeGrid Forum. The group’s goal is to develop a new tech standard that will let all home electronics work together.
The standard will create home networks that will use plain old phone and coaxial cable wiring and standard electrical outlets to bring movies, music and more from the Internet and into your PC, TV set, digital music player or whatever. Users will be able to easily shift that content among devices.
The companies say the standard will lower costs for consumers and make it a whole lot easier to hook up home networks. That likely would spur sales of the electronic products made by the HomeGrid Forum’s members.

Residents look over damage caused by tornadoes in Suffolk, Va., Tuesday, April 29, 2008. Three tornadoes smashed houses, tossed cars and injured than 200 residents Monday. (AP Photo/Steve Helber)
I was shocked watching the early news this morning, Suffolk Virginia suffered a huge damage from deadly tornadoes/twisters that hit them last night. Oh my God
, it’s scary. I remember when we were there last week, we (kind of) pass by Suffolk once when we lost our way going back to Langley
(lol).
Look at the devastation the twister did
, according to the report, there were more than 200 injured and zero dead. My prayers goes to them and hoping that they can still find strength even with these trials.

Bloggers news of the day:
A software programmer was convicted Monday of first-degree murder for killing his estranged wife, whom he contends may be living elsewhere. Hans Reiser, 44, bowed his head in court as the jury found him guilty of a crime that carries a sentence of 25 years to life in prison.
Nina Reiser disappeared more than a year ago after dropping off the couple’s children at Hans Reiser’s home. Her body has never been found. Reiser, known in programming circles as creator of the ReiserFS computer file system, testified for several days in the six-month trial, often giving rambling answers and getting scolded by the judge for arguing with the prosecutor.
Defense attorney William Du Bois said Monday he was disappointed with the verdict, but didn’t think things would have gone differently if Reiser had never taken the stand.
Tom Orloff, the district attorney for Alameda County, said the verdict “does justice for Nina Reiser and her family.”
