Here’s a guide for anyone out there who wants some inputs on their k-1 (fiancee) visa processing time.
As of March 19, 2011, I am updating this post and I included all my timeline when I started my US fiance(e) visa up to my US citizenship application and approval.
US fiance(e) visa
10-16-06 – Sent I-129f to Texas USCIS
11-05-06 – Recieved NOA 1
01-16-07 -NOA2 approval thru email
01-22-07 – Received NOA2 via snail mail
02-06-07 – NVC forwarded our case to USE Manila (issued our mnl case #)
02-10-07 – Received NVC letter thru snail mail
03-31-07 – Received Packet 4
04-27-07 – St. Lukes/ Medical Exam
05-07-07 – Interview
05-16-07 – Visa Received (GenSan)
*Total time of processing 7 months.
Terms:
NOA1 – or Notification of Action 1 /a notice stating that the application was already received and entered the USCIS system.
NOA2 – Notification of Action 2 / a notice of approval of the petition. Usually arrives after 2 or more months after the NOA1.
Packet 4 – is a package from US Embassy, includes all the forms for the interview. The most important content is the letter containing the medical and interview dates.
mnl case # – (Manila Case Number) this is given after the NOA2, to track the schedule of medical and interview dates.

06-14-07 – Applied for SSN
06-28-07 – Received SSN Card
07-06-07 – Changed name from single to married
07-13-07 – Received SSN card (with Married name)
*Total time of processing 1 month.
AOS TIMELINE
06-19-07 -TD shot
06-28-07 – Completed filling up the AOS forms
07-06-07 – Vaccination Transferred
07-16-07 – Sent the AOS package to USCIS (Chicago)
07-18-07 – USCIS received our package
07-26-07 – Our application entered the USCIS system
07-31-07 – NOA1 via snail mail
08-04-07 – ASC Appointment Notice(Biometrics)
08-25-07 – Biometrics DONE
10-18-07 – Interview APRROVED
10-29-07 – Received the welcome Notice
11-02-07 – Received my green card
*Total time of processing 4 months and 2 weeks.
I-751 timeline (Removal of the condition/10 year green card)
09/15/09 — sent sponsor change of address (since we relocate)
09/16/09 — applicant online change of address
09/25/09 — mailed out application
10/05/09 — cashed check
10/06/09 — received 1 year extension
10/22/09 — received biometrics schedule
11/12/09 — biometrics
11/20/09 — Approved and Document production
*Total time of processing 2 months and 6 days.
US Citizenship Timeline (N-400)
11-03-10 — sent N-400 application [used the USPS express delivery service]
11-04-10 — N-400 app received [tracked it online]
11-08-10 — INS cashed check
11-09-10 — received NOA1
11-16-10 — Biometrics Notice sent out [tracked it online]
11-20-10 — Biometrics Notice recieved
11-30-10 — Biometrics Appt
01-20-11 — Interview [Passed]
02-15-11 — Oathtaking
*Total time of processing 3 months and 2 weeks.

Regarding your question, sa pag kaka alam ko ok lng un.Kc fiance visa expires 6 months after ng release date. so within six months, you have to leave.

please i have a request! i have applied for the visa fiance and got it approved. but at the day of the interview they told me that i still need to bring certain documents to get my visa. i dropped those documents off at the embassy a week ago and i still havent heard from them yet to call me to pick up my visa?! im just wondering if anyone knows please how long it takes for them to call me? because i’m honestly dying and can’t wait anymore to meet my life partner and take our relation to the next level.

@ trish: Hi! Usually, if you hear from Air21, it means ide-deliver na ung visa mo. Unless iba ung message sau. Ung sa text sa kin, ang kaisa isang instruction lng, ay gamitin ung tracking number na sinend nla pra ma-monitor ung delivery ng visa. So may chance na may visa na paparating. Sa pagkaka alam ko kc ifever may problema, Embassy mismo magsasabi sau sa interview plang if denied or kulang ng evidence. God bless! ^^
@Doha: Bka ni-rereview pa ung case nyo. Kc since kulang ng documents, they need to go over it again before cla mag-decide and the time allotment for that varies minsan depending on the case. If approved na, you dont have to go the Embassy. Air21 will deliver your visa along with your passport and brown envelope. You can follow up naman on your case. I suggest you give them a call para sure. God bless ^^

hello i want to ask about the tax transcript, pag iinterviewhin ka na sa embassy, kukunin ba nila ung 2007, 2008 and 2009? paano kung sa 2007 at 2008 mababa ung income niya pero and 2009 is enough? madedeny ba kau? ask ko ba about bank statement paano di sila ngbbgay ng bank statement just a print out ok lng ba un? pero sa print out may nakalagay doon kung sino ng prepared at may signature etc. tatanggapin ba un? thanks sa sagot

But i have a question, how much is the poverty minimum income for a 2 person? In my case, I am now waiting for a letter from Manila embassy, and my fiance already gathered all possible documents but he will send it not until i receive the letter from MAnila embassy incase there is any other documents needed. My fiance is 22 yrs old and graduating this year while he go to work that pays him $20,180 annual. Do you think its good to meet the required poverty minimum income for 2 family? or do we need a co-sponsor? pls, i know you are reliable. @ Madeiline — sorry, it took me awhile to get back here, na-approve na ba kayo sa petition nyo? I mean, nakatanggap na ba ang fiance mo ng NOA2 or notice of approval? If yes, then yung appointment letter mo from the Manila Embassy is coming (it takes around a month or more –the reason for this is yung papers that ur fiance submitted nung nag-aplay siya, is ipapadala jan sa pinas and it takes a while, yun yung gagamitin ng Manila Embassy during ur interview). Go to USCIS.GOV and try searching for the info about co-sponsorship/poverty guideline..I can’t answer ur question kasi di ako naka-experience nyan.

@Madeiline: Hi Madeiline, depending on where your fiancé lives, the poverty minimum requirement will change. For fiancé K1 visas, USCIS requires the 100% number in the chart. You can look at the Poverty Guidelines for 2011 here: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf. So wherever your fiancé lives, you shouldn’t have any problems as long as there is just the two of you.

good day to all! I’m just confused, we got our NOA2 last june 8,2011 and haven’t receive any info what are we going to do next. Do we really need to wait that they will send us email with the MNL # or we really need to call them?? we tried to call NVC but it’s really hard to connect..What are we going to do?
