My k1 (Fiancee) visa timeline

Here’s a guide for anyone out there who wants some inputs on their k-1 (fiancee) visa processing time. I’ve already posted this with my previous blog but apparently I’m still working on with that blog right now so I have to re-post it here. I hope it helps and I’ll be posting my medical as well as my interview experience soon.

Type of visa: US fiance(e) visa

10-16-06 - Sent I-129f to Texas USCIS
11-05-06 - Recieved NOA 1
01-16-07 -NOA2 approval thru email
01-22-07 - Received NOA2 via snail mail
02-06-07 - NVC forwarded our case to USE Manila (issued our mnl case #)
02-10-07 - Received NVC letter thru snail mail
03-31-07 - Received Packet 4
04-27-07 - St. Lukes/ Medical Exam
05-07-07 - Interview
05-16-07 - Visa Received (GenSan)

*Total time of processing 7 months.

Terms:

NOA1 - or Notification of Action 1 /a notice stating that the application was already received and entered the USCIS system.

NOA2 - Notification of Action 2 / a notice of approval of the petition. Usually arrives after 2 or more months after the NOA1.

Packet 4 - is a package from US Embassy, includes all the forms for the interview. The most important content is the letter containing the medical and interview dates.

mnl case # - (Manila Case Number) this is given after the NOA2, to track the schedule of medical and interview dates.

  2. Of course you need too. He is part of the petition so the consul needs to see him too. I’ve seen babies in the embassy during my interview so my thinking is that you really have to.

    We got the petition approved by the USCIS now which is I believe the NOA2, right?

    What should we expect to happen after that?

    Then, just curious, base on your timeline, would the USCIS be forwarding our case to NVC and then from NVC to USE Manila?

  5. Hi Jona,

    COngrats on your NOA2. Yeah, USCIS will forward your approved application to NVC (US base) then NVC will forward your case to manila.

    The timeline varies, there are cases that it’ll only take a week..there are also cases that it’ll take weeks.

    We knew that they forwarded it because we called the NVC office. That was also the time when I knew my Manila Case number.

    Its time to prepare the documents now for interview :).

  9. Hi Angel,

    I’ve already forgotten what’s the notice on the NVC letter but if you can see any number starting with MNL, that’s your manila case number.

    You will probably receive your packet 4 after a month or 3 weeks. That’s only an approximation..it can be more than that or lesser than that.

    at the right side bottom of the website there is CHECK CASE STATUS, enter your application receipt and you can trace it from there.

  11. Hi Jona,

    Here’s the detailed explanation of packet 3 and packet 4:

    Packet 3 - Information that the Embassy sends to your Fiance, which specifies the documents that must be obtained and presented at the visa interview

    Packet 4 - Information that the Embassy sends to your Fiance setting an appointment date and explaining how to obtain the required medical examination

    I did not mentioned any packet 3 because the package that I received contains both the guideline on what documents to prepare for the interview and the interview schedule itself.

    Before I received the packet 4, I already knew my interview schedule. The reason I knew it because I kept on tracking our case online.

    i’m from Peru..and i will like to ask you about my fiance visa ..maybe you can help me..we start our case last nov2007,and by now march18/2008 we just got the a notice by mail that it said that our patition is been proved….what im wondering is that is our petition is the NVC now?or they will send it to my consulate in lima,and after that?all this is been very hard for both of us,cuz we havent see each other for almost7mounths,and not sure is he needs to be in my interview?he has a child..so is not easy too travel for him but summer time..i hope u can help me..thanx for ur time reading my email,greetings form lima-Peru..

  17. Hello claudia,

    I think your case is probably in the NVC by now, the only thing you need to do is to wait for the case number. The case number is usually given after your petition reaches NVC. This case number will then be your tracking number to track when is your medical and interview appointment.

    My fiance did not come on my medical and interview too but I did fine, and I think you’ll do good too. The thing that matters is you have the complete papers.

    Everything I said here is base on my experience.

    it took me almost 2 months before i received my packet 4. The packet 4 is sent to the applicant right before your interview schedule (ito yung na-notice ko). But still every petition varies, minsan may nauuna, minsan din merong late.

    If in case your medical and interview is already coming anf you haven’t received your packet 4 yet, call Saint Lukes, kasi pwede mong e-request dun ang packet 4 mo.

    I aprecciate so much your help..and yes you’right,our case now is in the NVC and this morning my bf got a letter from the NVC with a track number LIM#…case,it sait within a week will be in Lima’s embassy.Im so happy,I guess we’re going fast..and after my embassy reveice this ..will they send me something?packet?or I have to call them?also i was looking at the USCIS site about our case and and it shows like wrong INFO..is there any another site that i need to look at?before i forget i want to ask u this,i was living in costarica for almost 2years(as ilegal with a tourist visa(able 2mounths((last2003-2005)and came back to peru,i leave CR for my decision,they didnt deported me,i never did anything bad there,just saving money,now the USembassy in PERU requerid me to have a police record from all the places that i been lived for more that 6mounths..so im working in this now,do you think this will be a problem for to not get my K-1visa?cuz last feb2006 I tried to get tourist visa to US and they didnt gave me,and last july2007 i tried a Crew(C-Visa)cruiseship want me to work for them,USembassy they didnt gave me any visa either..so is there any bad reputation cuz the costarica overstay?or they just dindt trust me and now is different cuz a american citizen is asking for this and will work at this time??I hope God helps us ,cuz I really love this man and planning a life together.

    Yes they’ll send you your packet and with the wrong info on your papers, your fiance can call the uscis here in the States to correct it.

    With regards to your illegal stay in another country, I can’t answer that. I have no idea on that case…

Hi Glagyz….thank you so much for all your help in my case.I guess we had misunderstanding(when i told you about wrong info,is was that the uscis website didnt show anything..didnt work on that time)anyways my case is good..and 3days ago i got my packet#4(a letter from the USembassy here in Lima..that contains my appoiment interview on april21!!im so happy!!! and show the adress about where to get my medical examen,what i dont understand is that :Do i have to get all those papers that they asking before my interview ..and bring those on my date of interview?..or sent those papers to them now ?do i have to confirm my appoiment interview ?…ohh it will help to get my visad…if my boyfriend come and be with me in my interview?thanks again your your time ….

  22. hi gladys, uscis have been approved my paper sinced feb 28 and until now i havent received any noticed from NVC or USE Manila, its been more than month now that we’re waiting for my Manila Case NUmber, is there any way for me to get my case number? like, can i call NVC or USE to get it? ive been wondering why my case number took so long to recieved it and my friends get it in just 2-3 weeks. i wanna make sure that my paper is on right track now…

    I love your site its very informative, i just wanna ask about the DELBROS courier, i will be having my interview this may 16, 08..I planned to pick-up my visa at the embassy when i get approved coz after i have it i will have seminar right? Do you think i still need to pay DELBROS? I read in the embassy’s site that i need to pay DELBROS for the courier..please give me some advice in case you know about this..

  24. Hi Jennabel,

    Delbros doesn’t allow picking up of the visa (as far as my experience is concern) though there are some applicants that said they were able to pick up their visa.

    Yeah you need to pay delbros because the issuance of visa takes time, it always depends on the volume of the approved applicants. After the interview, you need to wait a couple of days..minimum of 3 days i guess.

    Thanks for the reply,im just curious about how you attend the seminar, did you went back to manila again after you got your visa? I plan to get my visa in manila coz i plan to have my seminar after i have my visa but im wondering if they will deliver it in manila if im currently residing in Gensan.any idea? And also, can you give me some advise on what is the proper dress to wear during the visa interview? thanks a lot..

    Sa sunday nko pa mla april 27, magpa medical ko sa 28 kay akong period gaabot jud 1st day of the month. I called the St Luke pwede daw early magpamedical actually my sked sa medical is May 5 pud og ang akong interview is on May12. Wala pa ko nagbayad sa 650 didto nko sa manila magbayad after my medical. Jes, sabay lang ta be attend og seminar I plan na I will attend the seminar after nko og medical.     Yeah you can have the interview but I guess they will put you on hold, meaning di mo makukuha kaagad ang visa mo if you pass the interview kasi your papers is lacking. I hope your police clearance will arrive before your interview.

    u should have your fiancee o kaya ikaw to call the number na nakaindicate dun sa letter na nareceive mo from the embassy. u will be the one to pick a sched for interview. then u will receive an email from the embassy for confirmation. ikaw na din bahala kung kelan ka magpapamedical. my interview’s on dec. 2.

  43. Ayen, I’ll give you a link below kung san pwede mong e-trace kung kelan ang schedule mo for your med exam and interview.

    Copy and paste mo lang to your browser then to track your schedule, write your mnl case number dun sa site then kapag meron ka ng schedule, e-di-display na dun. Kung wala pa, walang ma-di-display. Don’t get disappointed kasi it usually takes 2 weeks and up after the approval of the petition bago nila edi-display ang sched mo.

    For now, gather mo na muna yung data na kailangan mo para kapag anjan na yung schedule mo, madali na lang.

    yan na ba ang bago ngayon??? like ikaw na ang mag-choose when mo gusto magpa-interview and medical exam?? tatawagan ko rin ang St. Luke’s for the medical or is it first come -first serve basis?? my fiancee told me na mag-wait nalang daw muna ako sa pocket 4 na ipadala sa manila US embassy. kasi sa NOA2 naka-sabi daw doon na the Manila US embassy will send a pocket 4 instruction. how long usually yan darating? when they send it to DELBROS ba ang magdala or they will send it through Phil Postal mail?     DHL ang magdeliver sa packet4 and yeah snail mail na containing your appointment letter, katong mga forms to fill up og uban pa.

    Ang delbros kay ang mudeliver sa visa na, human sa interview adto ka sa booth sa delbros then bayad og delivery fee.

    My Fiancee completed Her interview July 31, 2008 and was told to go home(Cebu) and wait for Her Visa. She paid delbros and they kept saying STILL PROCESSING until Nov when they stopped answering.
    It is now almost Christmas and they still have Her passport.
    Who can I contact about this I have tried the embassey ph fax email no answer.

  60. hi.., i’ve been your avid reader eversince my boyfriend filed a fiancee visa.. got some question to ask, kc i got the NOA2 via snail mail and it was indicated there that i am eligible to be scheduled for a visa interview without telling me to wait for NVC letter and packet 4..is there some case like mine? i just read kc from someone there that in she received a NOA2 indicating to wait for the packet 4 while in my letter there is none.. and i already have the MNL case number.. but i check the appoinment online i’m not on the list pa… plus my problem is… i don’t have PLDT line, what to do to make a call in the US Embassy here?

    i got a letter also na sabi doon im eligible to schedule for interview and medical. just last week nag-tawag ang fiancee ko sa embassy asking about the pakcet 4 and some confirmation about my address and he ask if kailan nila ipapadala ang packet 4 ko. and ang sabi nila yong packet 4 is only a letter na instructions and my fiancee ask kung ok na ako magpa-schedule for interview at ang sabi nila ok na daw. pina-basa lang nila ako sa website ng Manila US embassy what to do…like the preparation for interview. kailan lang na approved ang petition mo?

    Next na gagawin mo is to gather the documents needed for interview like pictures, chat logs, phone call logs, anything na magpapatunay that the relationship is valid and arrange mo siya in one folder.

    Then kapag na forward na yung papers mo sa Manila USE, kasunod na nun ang packet 4 na matatanggap mo din. Ang laman ng packet 4 ay papers that you need to fill up and other details regarding your petition.

    But we’re talking about months ha, hindi weeks or days. Kasi mahaba haba din ang process. So be patient..

    i just want to ask, cause my fiancee and i will be applying for the K1 visa this July. I just want to know a couple of things. Do i have to have the papers ready before he applies? like the evidences, my birth certificate etc. Also, I lived in Doha last year and it says, that this application will require police clearances from the places i lived since 16 or 17. I lived there then moved back… Now am here for good cause he’ll be requesting for me. I want to know if i’ll need that too. And also, we would like to know if he will need the same amount of evidences. I know I should have it, but we want to know if they will be needing that from him.
    Part of our evidences, is our Skype chat messages. I want to ask if you were able to print those out if ever you used them for evidence. Cause we talk and call each other a lot. and that should show how close we are. We would like to include that in our album but I just cant find a way to print it out.

  74. Hi Leslie,

    Yes you need “some” papers ready before he applies, merely because he needs to submit evidences during his application too. Go to USCIS.gov and download the forms for fiance visa application (e.g. G-325A, I-129F). These forms has instruction on it, so just read the instruction, fill up the forms and follow everything that’s on it.

    Your certified BC is needed when he applies for the visa..as well as all the evidences of the relationship like chat logs, pictures, plane tickets..etc; everything that would prove the validity of the relationship and that you have met in person [this is very important].

    About your police clearance from Doha, yes you have to secure this one hence you will be needing this during the interview portion (in manila US embassy). Better secure it earlier than be late, who knows there might be delays or something..

    About the chat logs on skype, if skype (sorry I don’t use skype) has an archive then you will be able to print some chat logs. I and my husband used yahoo messenger and with yahoo messenger; you can download the conversation so it was easier for me.

    As with the screenshot of your conversations; open your archive chat window then click [PRINTSCREEN] ~ you can find this button in your keyboard mostly on the top right part of the keyboard (printscreen function as copy the whole screen); then paste it on either MS word or paint. Then you can edit the whole picture from there..

    I think I’ve answered what you inquired..just get back in here when u needed more info.

    I’ve been looking for someone to talk to about this fiancee visa and im glad that i found ur blogspot. My fiancee and i submitted and application for the K-1 visa like a month ago but haven’t received any reply from the USCIS, the only thing i know is they already cashed out the money for the application fee and we just called USCIS to check the status and we figured out that we’re supposed to get a receipt number which i think is the tracking number. im a bit worried coz i noticed that u got ur NOA 1 like less than a month and we haven’t gotten the tracking number that’s why i am not able to check the status of our application. Can u give me some advice about this?

  77. Hi Sharon,

    Since USCIS has already cashed your cheque, that means that NOA1 is/will be send to you shortly. That’s what happened to our applicaiton (way back); our cheque was cashed a week before my then fiance received the NOA1.

    There are different timelines for different application, some gets their response from USCIS in only a week; some are 2 weeks, some are 3 weeks and some are months so it really differs and don’t worry to much.

    If you did not received any NOA1 (say after a week from now), let your fiance call them and ask.

    When you received your NOA1, and you’ll learn your tracking number, sign up an acocunt on USCIS.gov (in the visa processing section ~sorry I forgot the link) so you’ll read/received a notification once your application is being processed again. My then fiance signed up an account on that site and he constantly received an email whenever they would do something in our application e.g. approval, request for evidence and etc

    after ng NOA2, USCIS will send your approved papers sa Manila Embassy, then bago nila send yung papers mo sa manila; they will send a letter sa fiance mo; it’ll contain the notice of approval and yung manila case number mo.

    Yung manila case number mo, yun yung pwede mong gamitin to track your med and interview sched. The latest thing I heard is that pwede na daw na ikaw na yung pumili ng schedule ng medical tsaka interview mo..tumawag ka lang da wsa embassy.

    Also, u have to prepare the documents for interview na, since na-approve na kayo..it will only be a matter of time.

    When you’re already a member, the website will give you an automatic update of your visa application through email( this is right after you get approved or they would want to request for evidence RFE or anything about your application).

    I have some queries. Ive been in a relationship with a beautiful man for 8 mos. now and he got me applied for a us visitor’s visa 4 months ago together with my 2 kids but sadly, we were denied visa. I tried to claim my us citizenship too with my american dad but unfortunely hindi sya ganun ka-cooperative, kaya yun, the us embassy closed my case nalang. So nag-decide nga si bf na mag-apply nalang kami ng toursit visa pero yun nga, denied kami ng mga anak ko. We’ve been through alot, workin on them requirements tapos denied lang..

    Ngayon, uuwi si bf next month para makapag take pictures kami together dahil yun ang advice ng immigration lawyer that he had been talkin to, ang problem ko, never kaming nag-chat, puro calls lang via voip, so wala kami nung chat logs na yun. Money transfers lang talaga meron, yun madami, he’s been supporting us for 7 months now.. and may mga emails din naman kami. Pwede na kaya yun? Busy naman kasi ang bf ko, he always n the road.. Kaya he has no time to sit infront of the computer, sa phone lang talaga kami lagi magkausap.

    One more thing, di kaya magiging conflict yung b1 visa denial namin sa k1 visa application ko? I’m quite confused talaga.. Please enlighten m.e. :-)

  97. hi Charlene, let give you some thoughts regarding your concern.

    i dont know what questions the consul asked you the US embassy will really deny you with your situation lalo na with your kids in tow. do you have a record na may father ka na american citizen? they think that we are a penidng immigrant so they are very strict with those applying for a tourist visa. its better talaga kung fiancee visa ka at least kasama mo rin ang mga kids mo. thats also good that your BF will be coming over para mag kita kayo and additional proof yon that you have an on going relationship.

    my fiancee and i didnt go thru an immigration lawyer na kasi madali lang naman ang pag fill up ng form. this site will help you a lot in accomplishing the forms for both you and your fiancee. but its all up to you really. money transfers and emails are very good but its better if youve seen eachother too

    your tourist visa denial will not be in conflict with your fiancee visa application. you can read more in this site for more information: http://manila.usembassy.gov

  102. Hi Gladys, I am a newbie here. I just happened to passed by this site and I got interested since I was anxious and nervous with regards to this fiancee visa petition.

    My Fiancee from Ohio passed the petition on Nov. 23, 2009. Then we received a snail mail on Nov. 30, 09 notifying that the petition is received already and they also gave us a receipt number which we can use to traced our case by call or on their website. We waited anxiously, at exactly 3 months (Feb.23, 2010) an email came to fiance’s email account notifying that a letter through snail mail is sent that tells all the instructions on what are other evidences needed and how to prepare it. Actually, we are still waiting for that snail mail to come up to this day.

    My question is, if we were able to received that snail mail the were able to comply the further evidences needed and send it right away to the USCIS, how much longer do you think we still need to wait till my interview? I hope you will attend t o my concerns. Thank you so much.

    We met June 2009 and met in person Oct 2009 then he go back to US and filed our K-1 petition Dec 2009 and we got our NOA1 Jan 7 2010 and get approval for NOA2 Feb 24 2010 and got our hard copy tru snail mail March 3 2010 and then our petition is in NVC. My fiancee calle NVc and they told my fiancee that on March 19 2010 they forward our case to manila and got our manila case number. March 27 got our NVC letter hard copy. WOW! THANK U MAMA MARY AND TO HIS SON JESUSCHRIST FOR ALWAYS THERE TO HELP US. I am so excited to be with my fiancee soon. My medical and interview next month..     I filed for AOS last April 2010.Knowing that I have the complete requirements.After a week I recieved two letters from USCIS, my appiontment for Biometrics Exam and my Appication for Employment Authorization Document.A week after I again recieved a letter from USCIS stating that its unable to complete the processing of my AOS without initial information.I should submit a properly completed and signed copy of the medical exam conducted overseas on Form DS 2053,Medical Examination for Immigrant,for the applicant of Form I-485..if I do not have a completed form of DS-2503, I should submit a properly completed form I-693..

    My questions are:
    Will it affects my schedule for Biometric Exam on April 8,2010? Should I reschedule the exam or should i take it on that day?

    What is Form 2053? The Immigration in Hawaii took my medical record that was in a cd when I arrived last December 2009.I only have my Vaccination Documentation Worksheet from St. Lukes which is the DS- 3025.
    What is I-693? Do I need to undergo another medical exam since they dont ask for I-693a?

    What should i do now? I’m EXHAUSTED and PISSED OFF..pls help me sis..

It says on the site na MArch 3rd pa raw na mail at na-approve. Pero my fiance hasnt gotten anything yet. Normally, kelan po narereceive un after ma-notify sa site?
    Then, I’ve another question po, has anyone ever tried applying for a job on a K1 visa? Kc we want to know if I can work a month after the wedding or while we’re waiting for the AOS to get through ifever makapasa ako sa interview at makarating dun.

    Ah OK, u live in manila! As far I know as long as u can receive your manila case number and nvc letter pwede kanang magkaroon ng sched for med and interview to manila embassy. About the shots as what I read it’s up to u if u want it but still u will need to pay for that either u like it or not. But kailangan talagang kumuha ng shots for AOS when we are there in US. About me my interview is this month. I don’t know yet when the exact date but I have my manila case number at saka un letter from NVC. Agency kc ang humawak ng case namin kya madali lng ang processing at cla na lahat gumawa. They will call me only if they need my sign or important matters. So just be patient and wait! GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE US HE ALWAYS THERE TO HELP AND GUIDE OUR WAY. Pag my manila case number kana u can call US embassy for ur med and interview as long as ur papers is complete.

    Yay! Talaga??? We can set up schedules as soon as we’re done with papers?! Wow, saya nman! i always thought medyo mahaba pa ipag aantay nmin, may chance pla na mas mapa aga pa. Worried kc kmi dhil meron akong police clearance from another country. Eh, by June, expired na sha. Pahirapan pa nman kumuha nun. Un ang habol ko kc, mai-present un sa interview before the thing expires. Agency humawak sa case mo? Panu un? Bayaran mo lng cla tpos provide ka lng ng papers at requirements?
    •As for the ticket, kailangan daw ba round trip ung ticket mo, or pwede nmang one way ticket lng?
    •Ska ung evidences, gano karami ang kailangan i-present? I know i have to make an album of everything but gano karaming pics and chatlogs?
    •Ska po pla, gano katagal ung AOS?

    By the way, these questions goes for everyone. I really need infos and I’d really appreciate any help you guys can share.

    Yeah! agency un humawak ng papers namin and need lng nla ang mga info’s at requirements from my fiance and me.Need tlga un police clearance sa ibang bansa pagnarwork ka dun over 6 months. Pero pag tourist kalang tulad sa akin OK lng wlang problema no need na ang police clearance. We paid the agency for the whole process until am there in the US. About the evidences the most important un I-134 AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT then emails, snail mails, chatlogs, pictures at iba pang importante bagay tungkol sa inyong dalawa. Check mo sa google at i type mo lng kng ano ang gosto mng malaman. About the ticket one way lng ang kunin mo.     I know, i know, ako ulit. hhehe. But, I need to know po, dpat ba lht ng papers ko authenticated ng DFA? like my NSO birth certificate, NBI clearance, etc… Dko lam kung pati ba CENOMAR napapa-aunthenticate. hehehe. sobrang clueless… 0.o
    Patulong nman po, am gatherin papers kc as soon as my MNL case number gets here, target ko at least antay nlang ako ng papers madeliver or maclaim ifever ipa-authenticate ko pa. Kc worried ako na bka matagalan since DFA is now accepting transactions na by appointment. That’s what I heard. Not sure if passport applications lng or if it goes for everything. Tapos po ung, DS 156, DS 157 at DS 156k forms po, san nyo po nkuha ung sa inyo? I heard it’s not downloadable daw. This part is definitely not the longest stretch ng application but i think it’s one of the parts na nkaka ngarag. For me. hehehe… I’d really appreciate help from you guys.     Un CENOMAR,B-CERTIFICATE, kunin mo yan from NSO authenticated na yan di muna kailangan ipa aunthenticate. At ang NBI hndi muna kailangan e-aunthenticate. About form like, DS 156, DS 157, DS 156K, as far as I know u can download that. punta ka sa google then type mo ito( WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD DS 156, 157, 156K FORM) try mo ito I hope it will help u.     As far as I know it’s to u what kind of vaccines u want. And it’s up to u if u want it or not. But for me I want it coz it’s needed when we are there US. And they need records that we have that vaccines. But anyway, the Saint’s Lukes will give your records to prove that u get that vaccines. At hndi lahat ituturok depende un.     Last April 5 my fiance got an email from USCIS stating that are case has been approved and after 4 days (April 9) he received the official letter (NOA#2) thru snail mail. Last April 19, he received official letter from NVC. It states that they created a case record with our petition information. I’m happy to have the manila case number that fast.     Hello! We also filed ours last Jan. but the first week of it. NOA means Notice of Approval/Action. So, if you get something from them that says you’re petition got to their office or the petition has been approved, then that’s the NOA. In our case, no one asked us for a letter of intent as we already included that in the application we filed. Jan 6, we filed our I-129f, a week after we got a letter saying our payment got to them. So,that was our first NOA. Once they receive that, they’ll start reviewing your case, they’ll do back ground checks on both of you and they’ll check if your papers are complete or if they’ll need more evidence from you. I think in your case, you didnt send them letters of intent to marry. so that’s why they asked for it. Once they mail you or your fiance saying that your petition has been approved, that’ll be your second NOA. In our case, the second NOA took about 2 months to get to us. I learned it all from this site. :) it is indeed informative.

    as i said before sa sliding folder nyo ilagay ang pics and other supporting documents.. maliit kasi and hole sa counter.. rectangular nga sya pero pailalim.. di kasya clearbook..kung naka clearbook kayo kakalsin nyo pics..
    tapos yung signed DS forms lagay nyo na sa 1 folder + pix + email appointment nyo kasi yan ang unang kukunin. tapos next window puro orig docs na hihingin depende sa sasabihin nila kung ano need nila from u. then handscanning tapos final interview na with the American consul. Take note mas mabait ang American consul kesa sa pinoy consul.. Swerte lang ako yung lalaking naka braces nag assist sa akin mabait. tapos yung american interviewer mabait din. =)

    hmmm… tingin ko, pag within metro manila, iisa lng ata un eh. d ako sure. basta ata same region, iisa lng. dko lng sure sa provincial areas. you can ask people from the NBI sa inyo. NOA2 ang pinaka matagal antayin, pero pag nakuha muna parang mabilis na lhat.

    if you’re talking about visa processing fee, sa pagkaka intindi ko, before ng interview. kc, ung nka indicate sa link na nka sulat sa confirmation letter ko, kailangan ntin ng receipt from BDO as proof na bayad na ung $131.oo We have to bring Ds 156 pag mag bbyad na tau. They will hand us 2 copies of receipts na kailangan ntin i-attach sa DS 156 at 156k ata, along with our visa photos. un ung instruction na nabasa ko den from other blogs. nkapag medical exam kna? kelan interview mo?

    hmmm, npa isip tuloy ako. ang babayaran ata after ng interview ay courier service na maghahatid ng passport at visa mo sa house nyo. un ang alam kong bbayaran after ng interview. i read it from someone who just had her interview recently. it’s P650 ata. Pero, feeling ko ung processing fee, we have to pay that before hand.

    3 days before interview dapat bayad ka na ng Visa fee. habang mababa ang dollar chance mo na to avail the lower rate. Sa first step sa interview process together with the DS forms kukunin nila yung copy nun payment mo. Tama si Leslie after interview yung Courier (Air21) and babayaran mo and rates are depending kung san nila dedeliver. Kung kasama mo fiance mo okay lang papapasukin sila. Goodluck! =)

    they always advice to gather your requirements as soon as possible kht after ng first NOA. this is exactly why. anyway, kc ganto ang mangyayari jan. pagkakuha ng letter, it means pwede na mag set ng appointment. depende cguro kung anong date ang pipiliin nyo. pero kc kailangan nya ang passport nya sa medical exam which is usually 1-2 weeks before ng date ng interview na i-sset mo. so, if july pa mkukuha passport, malamang july pa sha mkakapag pa medical. kc cla mag fforward nyan sa us embassy on the day of her interview. then a week or two after nyan, ska plang sha mag papa interview depende sa resulta ng exam nya. cguro the best jan is to call US Embassy and ask them about that. your fiancee can call them den from here sa philippines. pero i would suggest to call them pag sure na kau sa date. meron nmang express service ang DFA sa pag kuha ng passport.

    about sa pin sa pag twag, when you dial nman meron yang instructions. dial mo lng, may voice instructions cla. pero make sure you have your manila case number handy pra hindi kna mag hagilap, sayang minutes.

  183. ngaun ako nman magtatanong. hehehe… kc gerymay and i already had our interview nung 17th. ako lng ata ang applicant na hindi sure kung pasado o hindi. most sa mga nka usap ko doon, sbi nila cnabihan cla ng consul na approved cla. ako hindi. T_T nag aalala ako kc ang sbi lng sa kin, everything seems fine so far. then after nun, pinag bayad ako ng fee sa air21 nung personnel sa window Y. tinanong ko c kuya kung approved ba ako o hindi, wla shang malinaw na comment. npaka safe ng sagot nya. i read from some stories na pag pinagbayad at binigyan ng pink slip, it means ok n un.

    oo nga iba yan case m.. kasi after the interview sinasabi talaga kung apprved or not and visa. after nun tatawagin name mo dun sa window na malapit sa mga seaman..bigyan ka pink slip tapos Air 21 na.. oo kinukuha yung affidavit of support.. kung oinababalik ka, balik ka na lang tapos dalhin mo yung hinihingi nilang paper.. pray hard.. and think positive.     lapit na flight mo paalis. thanks sa reply. when i went there khapon to give it back, i made sure na na kwento ko ung buong phone call na nareceive ko. advice lng sa mga pupunta for interview, wag kau mahihiya magsalita. be nice, pero make sure naintindihan ka nila. if there’s one thing na mejo kinainis ko is that, ung filipino staffs dun, they assume alam nila lhat. like what you said, my case was rare. so kht tango lng ng tango ung staff sa window, cnabi ko na dala ko tong document nung interview, naibalik lng. so, he stopped and looked at me. nung nakuha ko ung attention nya, ska ko nilinaw na, hindi ko to sina-submit because hindi ko sha dala. it was probably a mistake na naibalik. kc ksama daw ang affidavit of support sa visa packet na ipapadala. mejo na-relieved ako kc, nagbayad nko ng delivery fee and i have this strong feeling na gina-gather lng lht ng requirements na ksama sa visa packet. so, i assume na may i-dedeliver na visa and that i got approved. pero still, i need prayers. im trying to be as positive as my fiance. hopefully, next week andito n un, God-willing. thanks po!

    i think it’s better to do that as soon as you can. mas maganda na ung mas maaga. kc aside from affidavit of support, you’ll need supporting documents pa. like employment letter with the letterhead ng company nyo, ung sa amin, pinaka huli ung paystubs kc dpat ung pinaka latest. pati bank statements mo. ung fiance ko, kinuha nya ung summary statements from april 2009 - april 2010. total amount ng dine-posit nya for the whole past year. you can print out the instructions about the requirements and have the bank manager read it pra mas madali. hope this helps…

  191. I’m really confused. I had my interview at the Manila US Embassy last 17th. Everything went smoothly, the consul said “everything seems fine so far.” He only asked to see 2 documents and I handed over my fiance’s I-134 form and his w2s. he looked at it and gave it back. Then he said, everything seems fine so far, our staff will tell you what to do next. So i waited for my name to be called and i went to the releasing window which was window Y. I was the second person there and the guy just told me to pay for the delivery fee and that I can go home after. So that’s what I did and after all that, I assumed I was approved. Then, someone from Team 1, (team handling my case at the embassy)called me up the following day and asked if i can come back tomorrow and bring his forms. She said they were calling me but I didnt go to window Y. They said they had special instructions for me about submitting those documents. I was really puzzled. But then again, i went there on the 19th and gave it back. Yesterday my fiance and I were wondering why the visa was taking so long to get released. And we called up the embassy and they just told us that the consul still has no decision about our case. We were both really confused cause we were here sitting and thinking we’ve already been approved…

    So my fiance told me to go there and submit his paystubs and employment letters. I didnt give the consul those papers as he only asked for 2 documents. I will go again for the third time today. Do you think those will help speed up the process? We’re dying to know. Is there anyone here with the same experience and got through it? Please, I really need answers. anyone can contribute. I’m really going nuts over here. All because i wasnt given that instruction.

    I dont know if I should be happy today. I think I want to be because I just received a text message from Air21 saying that I should be receiving something soon. I asked one of the guys from Air21 if they only deliver visas. And they said yes. So that actually sounds good. I’ve never heard good news in like a week. It should be here by tomorrow kung ano man un. Anyway, about my fiance’s income, he’s working 2 jobs. Alala den kmi about the poverty line thing kea nag siguro kmi and he got another full time job. So enough na ung income nya. Im not sure kung ang Consulate ng US dito sa ten allows co-sponsorship. from what I’ve read dati, I think China, Vietnam ska ung ibang countries ang d nag aallow ng co-sponsorship. you can research more about that. un ang kinatakot nmin unang una. Un namang sa consul nung interview, nkalabas lht ng papers ko. ang tiningnan lng tlga at hiningi ay ung forms lng na un. so i assume na hindi na kasama ung supporting documents like paystubs… kompleto ako nun that day. As in. Parang mababali balikat ko sa bigat ng bag ko.
    Kelan ba interview mo? Pag punta mo dun, tandaan mo, wag ka matatakot or mahiya magtanong. Be nice pero always clarify things. pra hindi mangyari sau tong delay sa akin. then, make sure may separate folder ka for your ID, DS Forms at BDO receipt. Kc un ang unang hhanapin sau so make sure madali cla mahugot. then, i-paste mo na ung picture mo sa DS 156. Kc masungit ung ale sa ticket booth na nag inspect nung papers ko, ang ganda pa nman ng pagkaka bati ko sa kanya ng good morning.     As of 12 noon today, I’m officially happy! My visa arrived along with my passport! Yay!!! Ung sa amin, hindi ko tlga binigay ung Form 1040. Pero kc may nag aayos ng tax ng fiance ko. So meron clang copy nun. Ang sinubmit ko ay yong galing sa nag pprepare ng tax nya. He’s been working since he was 17. Pero tong present job nya, nagstart sha nung nagkakilala kmi. So,bali 3 years un. cguro bawi ka nlang sa paystubs at employment letters. ung employment letters make sure na may letterhead ng company nila. i prepared 3 months worth nun. D nko nka punta ng US embassy khapon. dpat sna ibibigay ko un pra mapabilis ung decision, pero kc nung nag check ako sa air21, on the way n raw ung shipment. dko tuloy lam kung pinag ttripan lng kmi nung nka sagot ng phone. Dont worry about it. Pwede mo nman i-explain ung situation ng fiance mo. Importante dun ung recent na kakayanan nya na suportahan ka when you get there. Pero I suggest na ibigay mo lng ung affidavit of support along with the supporting documents pra ma-substantiate ung forms. Pag tinanong ka, explain mo lng. Hay… hirap tlga tong process na to. At least for me, emotionally. Pero God is good tlga. Acknowledge na kailangan mo tulong Nya in every step, He’ll answer your prayers den. Today He just answered mines. Yay!!!

    my fiance called the uscis last three weeks ago and asked how long will it take to get NOA1, the guy told him it will take 1 week to 4 weeks, since urs its already been a month i guess u need to call the uscis or tell ur fiance to check his cheque if it has been cashed, if they have cashed it out, go to the bank or check ur fiance’s bank account online and see if they posted the check with ur noa1 receipt number on the back of the cheque so u can track ur package online

  216. Hi to everyone here. :-) I just bumped into this site this morning and was very happy that I had because I get a lot of infos about K1 Fiancee application. We just submitted all our requirements this week and was worried because we only have one photos together. We had other photos though, but we are wearing shades on all those photos except this one photo where we dont. We hired OLVIS Immigration and Travel Services to handle our paperworks and they said that as much as possible we should have 10-20 photos together. Sad to say,we only have one since the rest of the photos we presented are not valid since we are wearing shades. That is what our agency told us, but they said they will try their very best. We have other supporting documents though like his plane tickets, visa stamps, hotel receipts, ferry tickets, restaurant receipts, snail mails, money transfer, phone logs, emails, chat logs, boxes of flowers, and our engagement ring with receipts. Im am really worried about it, and have already sleepless nights thinking about the whole process. I entrusted everything to Lord and Mama Mary, I keep on praying that everything will turn out fine. Can anyone here enlighten me if our case is still alright? Im just worried about the photo that we had. Any reply from you my dear friends will really be a big help to me.

    One time, nag research ako about what will happen if the consul thinks you dont have enough evidence. I think I once read na, worst case that can happen is that, they’ll have you come back for another interview and they’ll give you a chance to gather up more. They dont just deny you like that.
    Sa pagkaka alam ko, pagka send mo plang ng form I 129F, may kasama ng evidences den un. If people from USCIS thinks that your evidences are not enough, they will send something that’ll tell you they need more evidences. RFE [request for evidence] Ther best thing to do aside from praying is to research more about your case and get ready for the worst things that might happen.

I really had sleepless nights thinking about it, seriously. :-) I believe you, OLVIS is really doing good a good job, they are the experts. They just send our paperwork to their Las Vegas Office Friday last week, should probable get there Wednesday or Thursday this week. I am really praying that hopefully everything will turn out fine. Me and my fiancee gathered all the supporting evidences that we could possibly have, I also save our skype video logs. Every week had a video call over skype, so I use print screen and copy it in paint, made sure that both are faces are on the screen with date and time on it and save it as jpeg file. I hope that will do. I did saved his text messages from the day that he was on his way going here until today, I write all his text messages on a notebook with dates and time on it.

    I really appreciate your response Sherlyn, and I am very happy for you that you were able to make it. Nothing is really impossible with God.

    Mag aantay pa ako sa police report ko kasi parang august 30 pa matapos 3 months kasi and processing ,,X abroad kasi ako at diko alam kaagad na kailangan pala.So diko sure kong sino ang mauna sa atin,, pero updates nalang tayo okay para maka give ng experience at saka advise.. Pero mayroon din nag advise sa akin na pwede mag interview kong walang police report kong x abroad.. Mag bibigay lang daw ng letter and consul na kailanganin nila ng PR.

    dko sure kung tlgang kailangang notarized, pero kc ung sa amin, hindi sha notarized pero tinanggap nman.

Anyways,pwede ka mag attend ng CFO pero you still have to come back kasi hindi ka bbigyan ng sticker sa passport if you dont have a visa. So, if you want to save on trips, I suggest na umattend kna lng after you’ve been approved.

    People get denied for different reasons. May na-ddeny dhl sa evidence, may na-ddeny dhl d kapanipaniwala ang story. Iba iba ang reasons. Pero just to save on money and effort, try to get more. If konti lng pictures nyo, bawi ka sa receipts from stores or restaurants na pwedeng may pangalan nya or has the date kung kelan asa pilipinas sha. idea lng po. kc no one can really tell.
    nung interview ko, i had tons of evidences. pero affidavit of support lng ang hiningi nung american consul. ni hindi man lng sinilip ung photo album na pinagpuyatan ko. pero, i was so happy i got approved.

    pahabol pla. I just asked my husband. Ung I-134 na form, hindi notarized. pero kc pla pag cnbi mong affidavit of support, buong package un. in our case pla, everthing wasnt notarized except for the bank information from the bank itself. he had it notarized from someone sa bangko nila. pero aside from that, ung form mismo na ni-fill up nya, hindi un notarized. sorry… -_-

Hi Leslie thanks a lot, nasa NY ka pla, yun fiance ko nasa Hershey pennsylvania malapit sa hershey park.. pag summer pupunta siya sa new jershey brigantine my small beach house siya dun. actually pupunta siya dun bukas… malapit lng ba sa ny un hershey or new jershey?.. but any way , am glad share some info here it really helps a lot especially sa mga kukuha plang waiting for the interview., Godbless your family leslie, i will update you some and ask question if i need okay,..

    from Hershey, PA pala fiance mo. d2 lng kmi sa Norristown, PA mga 1 hr and 30 mins drive lng papunta dun. plan nga sana nmin nun 4th of July punta sa hershey park kaso grabe init kaya d na kmi tumuloy. meron din ako mga kakilala na nasa Philadelphia, PA pareho din natin na K1. hope pgnandito k na mgkita2 tayo hehhe… gud luck sayo and ingat!

    Kaye hindi ko alam kong ang natanggap mo ngayon ay manila case number na yan …pakitingnan if sa ibaba may nakasulay mo na pangalan ,,MNL means manila na may number na kasunod and after that category which K1 ..if yan and natanggap mo pwede kanang tumawad sa appoinmnet for medical and interview then after that gather all yoru documents,,para sa interview…sana naka tulong ako
