I need to file my request for CENOMAR (Certificate Of No Marriage) this week, I’ve already marked my calendar.
Whew, the thing with NSO recently is that, they’re always offline. You can never imagine the number of peeps in line after they got online. I went there last week but I never manage to wait for my turn, I guess I was number 300 for that day.
I can’t stand the pushing and the running to get to the next counter, geez, it doesn’t feel good to be pushed. I just hope they don’t go offline that often this week so the pending transaction will be finished.
Or else it will leave me no choice but to file for a one day leave (again) from work.
But this is way more better than few years ago; few years ago, all of the requests from NSO took like a couple of weeks to months before you can have the requested document.
By the way, its been few days now since Davao has a rainy afternoon. Hmmm, don’t forget the ‘payong’ (umbrella) dabawenya and dabawenyo or else you’ll get soak in the rain

I couldn’t beleive it when I renewed my NBI clearance and the result was “I GOT HIT”. That’s how they call it when there’s an unsolve record in the NBI. It doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s ‘my record’ cause a lot of times, it belongs to another person who has the same name.
It made me think when I heard the result, I haven’t been anywhere but work and home for the past few months or years. I wasn’t scared or something, but it made me wonder, who in the world was that of the same name as mine that has a record.
I really thought I have a unique name, my name spells like this..Glady’s ,yeah that’s with an apostrophe. I would even smile before, all of the people I’ve met who first saw the spelling always gives a follow up question, well, can’t blame them. My name seemed like –Glady is..and I have 2 first name. Glady’s Gay -can you imagine it sounded like Glady is Gay.
Geez, now there’s the two of us. I wonder who is that girl with the same name as mine..hmmm. I have no idea what did she did but I just hope that she will clear her name.
A piece of advice to those who are getting their records, get those ahead of time so incase of delays; you can still meet your deadline.
By the way, I’m renewing my NBI clearance as it is needed for my upcoming Embassy interview.
I first filed it September of last year (2006) but then the Embassy required for the latest one (at least 3 months), so I renewed it.

My medical and interview appointment with the US Embassy in Manila is already posted. We’ve been waiting this schedule for over a month and thank God, it’s already posted.
As I said in my previous posts, Carlo and I started our paperworks way back October of last year. We are on a K1 route since I am on fiancee visa. It took us 2 weeks (after we sent the papers to USCIS) to get our NOA1 (Notice of Action 1 -notice from USCIS that they receive the petition) and had known our receipt number. This receipt number serves as our tracking number, to track the progress of the petition (usually starts with WAC with a number combination).
It took us 3 months to get the approval of the petition; the NOA2. USCIS sent Carlo an email about the approval and after a week, he received the hard copy of the approval. Upon receiving the approval, USCIS at this time also sent the approved petition to the NVC (National Visa Center) for the issuance of Manila Case Number. We waited for 2 weeks before Carlo called the NVC for our case number. Manila Case number served as the guide to know our appointment dates (medical and interview).
And they gave him our case number. Since we already knew the website on where to check the posted schedules, we everyday check our status.
It took us a month again before our schedule was posted. I know, the wait is killing us both, but then what can we do.
In between the waiting period, we started gathering the documents needed for my upcoming medical and interview. 2 weeks before my medical and interview dates were posted, we’ve already completed and gathered the needed documents.
Hurrayyyy..we’re just waiting for my medical and interview dates to come and I have a month and a half to prepare myself.
Here’s my timeline:
16 Oct 06 – submitted the petition
05 Nov 06 – NOA1 (issued receipt number)
16 Jan 07 – NOA2 (Approval of the petition)
06 Feb 07 – Petition sent to Manila USE (issued case number)
15 March 07 – Medical/Interview dates posted on the website
last week of April 07 – Medical at St. Lukes
First week of May 07 – Interview at Manila USE
There is one important lesson I’ve learned with our visa processing time, “patience is really a virtue”.
It’s easy to say “yes i can wait” but as times go by, its so hard to hold on with that phrase. If you’re familiar with the line “HURRY UP AND WAIT”, that’s how it is when you’re doing the paperworks. One thing I can advise though, inorder to minimize delays during the visa processing, supply them (the USCIS) with a well arranged and complete papers, surely, RFE’s (Request For Evidence) will be avoided.
That is how Carlo and I did our visa paperworks. It’s not yet done but we’re almost there….

I told you not to overdo yourself in the gym, but you still did.
You lay down on your bed while I’m watching…
Yes, your upper back is killing you, you said “it’s so soaaaaaarrrrrrr”.
In capslock I typed “NO GYM TODAY”.
……after awhile my cellphone beep.
It’s from you and it reads…” I LOVE YOU”.
You really know how to melt me huh

Happy Birthday Babe!
I wish you all the best on this day and onwards, hala ka, dagdag edad na naman..hahaha. Joke lang po. I love you so much and I really thank the Lord that He gave me you. You are such a nice , sweet and a very responsible guy..bet you I’m really lucky huh. I enjoyed every moment with you whether its virtually or physically. It pains me not to be with you on special occasions but knowing that even if I’m thousand miles away, we still manage to talk and spend time online…masaya na rin ako. Anyway, a month and few more days to go; AKIN KA NA, hala ka, PIPIRMA KA NA
.
I maybe redundant in telling you that you are one in a million but really YOU ARE. I held you close to my heart and I promise I’ll be with your side through thick and thin.
Happy birthday again my lover, my bestfriend, my true love…my everything, enjoy this day and have many more birthday’s to come.

At long last, my super duper hectic schedule is almost over ; isang tulog na lang and my obligations at school will be finished. Tomorrow (March 10, 2007) is my last day in our compre exam. It has been a pretty tough month for me, I’d say last month is the turning point of my life. I can’t even imagine how I survived…I don’t know why but a day after my compre exam, I always encountered problems. It’s hard to balance as it’s hard to deal with emotional problems. No, it wasn’t Carlo, he’s been so supportive all through our journey. In fact he always cheered me up and I’m so thankful for it.
I guess, I need to pass those trials, to make me stronger.. Anyway, I need not elaborate those trials kasi baka may masagasaan na naman ako but to give them a piece of advice; they all need to grow up. For how can we be respected if we do not respect ourselves plus if i say it in bisaya, dagko na ta, dili na bata nga tun-anan pa, kita na gud ang mutudlo thus we need to be responsible.
After my exam, my next focus would be on my papers going to Alamo. Actually, we started doing the paper works last October of 2006 and we’re almost finished with it. Anytime this coming May would be my expected interview at the embassy ( wish me luck). I’m kind of nervous but really I’m excited.
I am excited with my new journey, my incoming new sorroundings and especially…and especially me as a wife. Tapos, ano kaya ang ginagawa nila dun? How would they deal with everyday life? As if na mga alien ang mga tao dun..hehe, joke lang. Nah, that’s not the case, wala lang, parang it’s going to be a different environment for me plus the homesickness and then I am not well versed on being a homebuddy, para yatang all my growing up years, I have work.
Yeah, I have fears too, well to be exact, its really a mixed emotion.
BUT….
the best thing is that I have found the person who makes me laugh and can make me cry at the same time. A person who accepted me inspite (of me being maganda..hehe) and despite of (me being matalino..nyahahahaha, joke lang). It’s really a total surrender and yeah it’s a true love.
Soon, I will be closing one chapter of my life (being a single) and opening a new one with Carlo. Ano na kaya ang susunod?
Abangan ang susunod na kabanata……Â
